We're going back in the cave!
After a morning hike with the remaining people in camp, Julie (the head person in charge) managed to get the BLM to come check us out and clear us for further science. Within the span of a few hours in the afternoon, we had six new people in camp (mostly scientists). There is a small film crew from an Australian education start-up here filming our work, so that's exciting too!
I also made a small spider friend. I'm not sure what species, but I do know it was a jumping spider. I let it crawl on me for about 30 minutes, but then let it go.
So tomorrow will bring actual science updates! Our wait has ended. Hope you all had an excellent Monday!
